Chef Alec Sherman a Lansing, Michigan native who studied at Le Cordon Bleu-Chicago. His relationships with the farmers is what he is most passionate about.
Alec's love for locally grown products helps push the creativity here at A10. We are working very hard to not only use seasonal produce but that within 200 miles of the restaurant.
He works closely with our farmer, Jen at Folkart Farm, to plan the next seasons seeds and what to grow. He is very proud to source winter produce from the Gary Comer Youth Center which teaches kids how to grow vegetables all year long in greenhouses. Being a new dad himself, he is dedicated to idea of teaching Chicago's youth about food sourcing, healthy eating and farm to table produce.
He and his wife Lauren welcomed a baby girl in September, named Eleanor Bell.
